Elementary: (English) Due to circumstances beyond our control, Nyssa Elementary will be having students musically perform at our Veterans Day Assembly, Nov. 9 and in a Spring Concert (date and time yet to be determined) for parents and the community. There will not be a Winter Concert prior to Christmas. The music department knows how much the kids love to perform for their parents, but the preparation timing is not conducive this year. Students and parents gathered at the Nyssa Migrant Preschool classroom to learn about and participate in activities designed to increase students' mathematical awareness. Migrant School Readiness Specialist Tere Ley conducted the event along with classroom teachers Rosalie Marvin and Diana Monroy.

Any money collected needs to be turned in, in the envelope provided. Students, please turn your envelop in at least two times during the read-a-thon so your minutes and donations can be recorded. The Read-A-Thon ends on Oct. 11th. The money earned from this fundraiser is used to purchase books for the library, provide books for students throughout the year, and for prizes given for participating in the read-a-thon and book reviews during the year.
