Our Elementary School will be having their Christmas Concert this Thursday, December 12th. Here are the times for each group/grades. The kids are excited to sing in front of their family and alongside their friends. We hope you can make it!
Nuestra Escuela Primaria tendrá su concierto de Navidad este jueves 12 de diciembre. Aquí están los horarios para cada grupo y los grados. Los niños están emocionados de poder cantar frente a su familia y junto a sus amigos. ¡Esperamos que puedan acompañarnos!
Elementary -- We had a Shelter in Place drill today at 12:15 pm and a fire drill at 3:00 pm. BOTH of these were a drill and part of our scheduled monthly practice.
Primaria -- Hoy tuvimos un simulacro de "Refugiarse en el Lugar" a las 12:15 p. m. y un simulacro de incendio a las 3:00 p. m. AMBOS fueron simulacros y parte de nuestra práctica mensual programada.

Our K-2 Dance Team, led by Mrs. Burbank, had a fun dance routine for our Elementary Awards Assembly yesterday! The next performance by the 3rd-5th grade team will be in December. Great job everyone!

Wednesday, November 20th, Twenty-one fifth grade math students competed in the national Noetic Math Contest To see how they could do on some challenging, fifth grade logic and multi step math problems. Students from across the country compete at their schools in this contest, and then scores are submitted to the national organization. We look forward to announcing the results soon!
El miércoles 20 de noviembre, veintiún estudiantes de quinto grado participaron en el concurso nacional de matemáticas Noetic para medir su desempeño en problemas desafiantes de lógica y matemáticas de varios pasos, diseñados para su nivel. Bullpup Talk with the Principals 11/19 @ 6:00pm – This month one of the topics being discussed during the Bullpup Talk with the Principals will be the South Playground and getting parent/community feedback of what the “new” playground/facilities should be, have, contain, etc. Please come and provide your input and feedback.

Today, our Elementary School held a Veterans Day Assembly to honor those who serve or have served our country. It was wonderful to see our local veterans in attendance, receiving the honor and respect they deserve from our Nyssa students and staff. Our Wall of Honor, proudly displaying photos and stories of our local heroes, reminds us of their dedication and sacrifice. THANK YOU to all our veterans for their service to our country!
Hoy, la Escuela Primaria realizó una asamblea del Día de los Veteranos para honrar a quienes sirven o han servido a nuestro país. Fue maravilloso ver a nuestros veteranos locales presentes, recibiendo el honor y el respeto que merecen de nuestros estudiantes y personal de Nyssa. Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow, 10/31 (Thursday), there is NO After School Program groups. Everyone will be coming home at 3:30 pm when school is out for the day.
