The End of the Year Awards Assembly for Grades 1-5 will be tomorrow, May 29th starting at 1:00 pm. It will be at our Mac Hall Gym (where the monthly awards assemblies take place). After each assembly, we will be giving all families free books to take home! If you did not purchase one and you want to get one for your student please send check or cash to the school with the student's name, homeroom teacher, and have them bring it to the office. Last week, incoming Kindergarten students visited our school! They explored classrooms, ate lunch in the cafeteria, and had lots of fun on our playground. Each student left with a special gift to help them get ready for next year. We look forward to having them join our Bullpup family next year! ¡La semana pasada, los futuros estudiantes de Kinder visitaron nuestra escuela! This week, Nyssa Elementary is inviting all incoming Kindergarten students to two Kinder Transition Events: May 8th, 9:45–11:00 AM: Students will tour the school, eat lunch in our cafeteria, and enjoy time on the playground. May 9th, 10:00–10:30 AM: Students will take a bus tour around Nyssa. Parents are welcome to ride the bus with their child. Please come and help support this service project: Hi! My name is Julianna Bowns, I am a senior at Nyssa High School, and one of my favorite hobbies is reading. I want to share my love of reading with others, so for my National Honors' Society project, I have planned an activity night at the High School this Thursday (6-8pm), for elementary students that focuses on teaching and developing reading skills, as well as a love for this important life skill. I have exciting stations planned for the evening so that each student can find a reading adventure that they will personally enjoy. Thank you for your support!
