Escuela primaria -- El PTO de Nyssa organizará el Carnaval Anual de Otoño el viernes 27 de septiembre de 4 a 7 p.m. Este es un evento divertido para familias y miembros de la comunidad. Habrá comida, juegos, casas inflables y mucha diversión. Tendremos nuestra primera reunión de Padres del PTO el lunes 9 de septiembre a las 7 p.m. en Mac Hall. Los invitamos a asistir para conocer más sobre este evento y lo que hace el PTO durante el año escolar.

The Nyssa PTO will be hosting the annual Fall Harvest Carnival on Friday, September 27th from 4-7 p.m. This is a fun event for families and community members. There will be food, games, bounce houses and fun. We will have our first Parent PTO meeting on Monday, September 9th at 7 p.m. at Mac Hall. We invite you to attend to find out more about this event and what the PTO does throughout the school year.

Elementary -- Today we had a lockdown drill and a fire drill. They were both drills and satisfied our monthly requirement to practice our safety drills. Hoy tuvimos un práctica de cierre de emergencia y uno de incendio. Ambos solo fueron prácticas y cumplieron con nuestro requisito mensual de practicar nuestros pasos de seguridad.

Picture day is this coming Tuesday, September 10th! Make sure to have your student bring their picture envelope if you are purchasing pictures. ¡El día de fotos es este martes, 10 de septiembre! Asegúrese de que su estudiante traiga su sobre de fotos si van a comprarlas.

Elementary Announcement: Pawsitive Office Referrals are issued by the staff members when a student goes above and beyond in the Areas of Being Safe, Being Respectful, and Being Responsible. When a student gets a Pawsitive Office Referral they are called down to Ms. Book’s office, they get a positive phone call home, and they choose a pin to put on their backpack showing they earned a Pawsitive Office Referral. Elementary: Kick-Off for the Walking Program will be September 4th. Parents please come join us on September 4th for the kick-off of the Bulldog Walking Club. This program is for 2nd through 5th Grades. Please check into the office before coming to the playground. Elementary -- Hearing screenings are being given to all students in Kindergarten, first, and third grades along with any new students to the Nyssa Elementary School this week. If you do not want your child to be screened, please contact the office as soon as possible. Nyssa Elementary-- Drop Off and Pick Up Area reminder K-1 and Siblings of students in K-1 are dropped off in the front loop of the school parking lot.
