Nyssa PTO Recruitment Meeting

Meeting opened by Mr. Pratt at 6:06 p.m. 11 members present and Mr. Pratt
Packet discussed by Ruth about the roles and responsibilities of Nyssa PTO
Questions about having carnival this year. Mr. Pratt spoke to plan for the 2026 year. School will run it this year. Not a fundraiser, but a community event this year.
Date is expected for October 16th. From 5-7 p.m.
Ruth was going to check on games of PTO and make sure everything is there and what needs to be gathered.
The 25-26 Officer team of
Naomi Rich- President, Roccio Garcia- Vice President, Ruth Blazzard- Secretary and Sharon Frahm- Treasurer is resigning as the year is complete.
New Officers will be elected for the 26-27 School Year
Officer Elections
A. Virginia Wade was nominated by Cheryl Esplin for the role of President. There was a second by Colleen Wade. A unanimous vote.
B. Rochelle Figueroa nominated by Colleen Wade for Vice President. A second by Sharon Frahm. Unanimous vote.
C. Cheryl Espline nominated Laura Anderson for the secretary position. A second by Sharon Frahm. Unanimous vote.
D. Cheryl Esplin nominated Ekram Ausman as the assistant secretary. There was a second by Keilee Larsen. Unanimous vote.
E. Viriginia Wade nominated Sharon Frahm as the Treasurer for the Treasurer Position. A second by Collen Wade. Unanimous Vote.
A suggestion of having an executive training day as a leadership team to go over roles. Virginia Wade would like to meet Thursday 10th at 4:30 p.m. Bring a way to get on google drive.
Cheryl Esplin suggested using google teams to send out to parents to be able to attend PTO meetings for the coming school year. Mr. Pratt said he could help make that possible.
Virginia Wade would like to investigate what money can be made from the carnival by PTO. Possibly selling popcorn, cotton candy, water bottles.

Ruth iba a revisar los juegos de la PTO y asegurarse de que todo esté allí y lo que se necesita recolectar.

Una sugerencia de tener un día de capacitación ejecutiva como equipo de liderazgo para repasar las funciones. Virginia Wade le gustaría reunirse el jueves 10 a las 4:30 p.m. Traer una forma de acceder a Google Drive.
Cheryl Esplin sugirió usar Google Teams para enviar a los padres la posibilidad de asistir a las reuniones de la PTO para el próximo año escolar. El Sr. Pratt dijo que podría ayudar a que eso fuera posible.
Virginia Wade le gustaría investigar qué dinero puede ganar la PTO con el carnaval. Posiblemente vendiendo palomitas de maíz, algodón de azúcar, botellas de agua.
